This two-day course offers an opportunity for fellow RMT’s to refresh and enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge of both specific and non-specific joint mobilizations. While treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and imbalance can be very beneficial for improving, and even restoring client ROM, this course takes a dive into how including joint mobilization into treatment protocols can offer that extra push to getting your clients closer to their mobility goals.
Our goal for this course is to introduce/remind RMT’s just how beneficial joint mobilizations can be when done correctly, and when to recognize when certain joint play is indicated, and when it is not.

Hydrotherapy can include many beneficial modalities that may assist in alleviating symptoms caused by various systemic and auto-immune conditions. Hot Stone Massage Therapy is typically taught with a routine sequence that really focuses on ultimate relaxation. However, the opportunity to effectively treat pathological conditions with Hot/Cold Stones has been lost, until now. This workshop focuses primarily on the therapeutic approach of Hot and Cold Stone Therapy. Following typical General Swedish and Non-Swedish/Advanced Massage techniques with the addition of tools, a heated or cooled stone, will not only effectively reduce a multitude of symptoms, but also extend the longevity of the Practitioners career as well. Each enrolled individual will be able to confidently use heated or cooled stones to aid in the benefit of their treatment, as well as understand the proper identification of when it is applicable to work with a heated or cooled stone. Following brief reviews of pathological conditions, this Workshop will include basic protocols for therapeutic Hot and Cold Stone Massage for specific conditions and how to effectively treat those identifications. Our workshop uses Basalt stones; however, enrolled members will be able to use whatever stone they prefer and learn the different properties associated with each material the stone may be made of.

Cupping Therapy has been a fast-growing, and is a well sought-after modality for both manual therapists as well as clients. While using cupping therapy, clients are likely able to experience an increase in circulation; a decrease in myofascial adhesions and restrictions; the ability to free peripheral nerve entrapment, and much more.
For the therapist, this modality offers the ability to increase the effectiveness of treatment and client care by working in several places at once, while prolonging the health and longevity of their career.
In this course, students will learn the basics of cupping therapy; the anatomy and physiology behind it; practical applications on using both plastic and silicone cups in both stagnant and sliding methods – either solo or several at once.
Focusing more on a mechanical approach to cupping, students will receive a detailed breakdown of different cupping techniques, and what outcomes are achieved with each - enhancing critical thinking on treatment applications. As we briefly review common pathologies regarding mechanical pain, we will thoroughly investigate present restrictions and use a standard protocol for each condition that therapists may use to reference in their own practice.
Therapists will be able to confidently assess the body in its entirety in order to identify myofascial restrictions while using Cups as a tool for tracing the pathway of restriction, ultimately allowing the Therapist to determine the primary area of restriction, rather than following the symptomology currently present.
